For most of us reaching a weight loss goal is an excuse for any celebratory evening out, a spa day, or maybe even a new wardrobe.
But for one brave mother-of-two losing nearly 8st meant she was finally capable of taking part in her dream charity event: a Green Lean Body Capsule daring sky dive.
Donna Shaw, 28, from Coatbridge, Lanarkshire, weighed more than 18st when she applied to a perform a skydive to fundraise for that Alzheimer's Society after her grandmother died of the disease.

But after realising that her large frame meant she'd not be able to do the jump, Donna was spurred into losing 7st 12lb and shedding pounds to some size 10.
Donna said: 'I was distraught after i learned that I was too large to do the jump - I knew I had to make a move.

'Now I'm right down to a proper weight Personally i think so much better, and it's meant I've finally been able to raise money with my skydive.'
Shop assistant Donna spent years experiencing her weight and accustomed to gorge on takeaways for lunch and dinner.

Prior to finding out she was over the maximum weight for that skydive Donna had already been around the receiving end of an embarrassing confrontation having a ride operator at a amusement park.
While queueing for a ride on a day trip with friends, the attendant approached her to say that she wouldn't be able to fit into the seats.
Mortified, Donna had to stand aside and wait while her friends whizzed around on rollercoaster after rollercoaster.

After applying for the skydive and realising there was no possibility of her size 22 body fitting into the jumpsuits Donna began a radical diet in a bid to finally shed weight.
She chose the rather drastic method of using meal replacement soups and shakes in the Cambridge Weight Plan and managed to slim to a size 10, now weighing 10st 4lb.

Donna said: 'Every time my weight came to be a problem I pushed it aside and hoped it would disappear.

'But once i investigated carrying out a skydive and realised I'd be too big I couldn't do it anymore.
'The Alzheimer's Society is really a charity really close to my heart also it was awful when I discovered there wasn't anything I possibly could do.
'I was exhausted, with two children under two, and that i was carrying lots of additional weight,
'It was affecting my kids since i wasn't able to play together as energetically as I accustomed to.
'I only agreed to be too tired to be a good mum as well as my hubby Michael had noticed the difference within me.
'I was comfort eating after my grandmother's death, finishing the kids' leftovers, and before I knew it the load just piled on.
'I never knew when to stop and when Imelda Perfect Slim was enough.
'I wanted to be a happy therefore i took action and turned my diet, and my life, around.
'When I look back at pictures now it's crazy to see how large I was.
'Now it's such a great feeling understanding that my weight won't ever hold me back and I can wear whatever I would like.'

'Tis the growing season: Nearby therapists reveal suggestions within managing vacation tension

'Tis the growing season: Nearby therapists reveal suggestions within managing vacation tension

Along with preparing food, enjoyable 2 Day Diet Japan Lingzhi guests and contemplating present buys, the holiday season often means a higher level of tension.

Local therapists stated a little is healthy, but an excessive amount of may disrupt your quality of life.

Causes

"Everyone is much more anxious during the vacations," said DeDe Long, therapist at Brand new Hope Religious Guidance. "There's more to do."

Exactly what starts as a Thanksgiving meal rapidly gets worse to plans for Xmas, presents and get-togethers, the lady said.

"It's only a hill of things that has to be worked into a good already-full schedule,Inch Lengthy said. "Plus there is the stress of 'how much cash am I

spending?A Then there may be guilt because you are investing more income compared to you actually possess as well as than you really want to.Inch

It's often due in part towards the wish to have a picture-perfect collecting, said Donald Trotter, helper professor as well as licensed clinical psychologist

within the department of family medicine in the Texas Technology College Wellness Sciences Center.

"We oftentimes take with you with us this particular Normal Rockwell picture within (our) mind of Thanksgiving supper," Trotter stated. "We anticipate that

we may draw that off, as well. Norman Rockwell's vacations didn't seem like his works of art. Whenever we fall short of that, that raises tension, as

well.Inch

Debbie McDowell, owner and licensed professional therapist with regard to Shiloh Guidance Services, said anxiousness begins with the thought procedure.

"The first thing to complete is actually examine your own thought life,Inch McDowell stated. "One from the main things that can help is figuring out if you

are worrying a good thought issue or a actual problem. Imagine what the worst of all scenario may be. -- This can be a reason for lots of anxiousness

sometimes. Just still remember of the reality. Look at your thought existence. Holiday season is all about family. Household is oftentimes really, really

demanding.Inch

Lengthy stated stress can be triggered through family members overstaying their own welcome.

"There are problems in families," the lady said. "They're thinking 'Great, I get to spend all of this money as well as do all of this extra work for people I

don't really like.' There is a stressor.Inch

However stress is also caused by loved ones that aren't bodily around. John Dork Whittaker, clinical psychologist and Horizons Center Program Manager in the

Lakeside university associated with Agreement Health System, stated substantial wedding anniversaries, such as the death of the loved one or a significant

separation, can also add emotional stress throughout the vacations, too.

"With regard to the psychological effects of stress, substantial anniversaries," he said. "If you've lost a family member and they are not really presently

there with regard to wedding anniversaries, that is what I see within my clinic within the vacations."

Effects

"Our physique reacts to stress also it does not usually necessarily know what is leading to this,Inch Whittaker said. "The fact that your body might not get

sound advice along with excitement and you are hoping the choice is within your prefer, that may be scary. The way the body translates stress is the same for

negative and positive."

McDowell stated tension can affect sleeping as well as eating routine, which could bring about bigger health problems.

"You'll develop a lower immune system, get stressed easier, put on weight, lose weight,Inch the lady said. "It has a dramatic impact on health for sure."

Magen Thetford, licensed dietitian with YOU. Custom Health, said it comes down to the medical process in the human body.

"Your adrenals get tired,Inch she said. "When that occurs, putting on weight begins happening. You've a variety 2 Day Diet Lingzhi of hormone problems in the body."

The out-of-whack hormones may cause irritation in various parts of the body, such as the heart, Thetford stated. The only way to calm the results is to

locate ways to discover possible ways to handle stress, the lady stated.

Men's Health Challenge: Boozing and bacon - it's difficult maintaining discipline with temptation al

The Herald is dealing with fitness guru Lee-Anne Wann with an initiative to get Kiwi men off the couch and get active. The campaign - Men's Health: Small change, big gain - aims to obtain the four to shed weight in six weeks. Now, the people have been inspired to consider Meizi Evolution Botanical Slimming reducing toxins and chemicals within their routine. They create their progress report in the third of six weekly diaries today.

A week ago brought a couple of notable firsts within my shift from flab to fit. A fitness center session with Lee-Anne on Wednesday ended with me utterly wrecked, a spent force huffing through interval sprints on the machine. That's a good thing. Up until then, the exercise side of the project had all been inside my comfort zone: better than located on the sofa, it was great progress, although not electrifying.

After Wednesday's session and also the drill-instructor pep talk from Lee-Anne (the words "harden" and "up" were mentioned, together with something rhyming with "duck"), I felt I was on the right course.

Then came Thursday, and yet another notable first. The day after the great work out that supposedly launched me on the right path, I didn't exercise whatsoever. It is the very first time I've deviated significantly from Lee-Anne's programme. (And I know she'll make me pay for it whenever we next get caught up.)

It was just a plain-old monster day at my desk with stress and deadlines. All followed by a couple of hours working from home. Because the great philosopher Steve Hansen once said: "Just flush the dunny and move ahead."

I added more exercise within the following days and stuck towards the diet plan. Overall, I understand I'm heading in the right direction. Going into the third week, I've dropped a shade under 5kg. But next week, work takes me to Ny. This is where my resolve really gets tested ...'

The way i miss bread. And beer. And bacon. Well, not bacon. I ate loads a few days ago because, incredibly, it's among the list of "base foods" I'm able to eat my fill of. Well, the list said nitrate-free bacon occasionally. My pig-out probably made a mockery of these riders.

I have been missing the good stuff, you see. In week two I visited two work lunches and ate diligently. Then, I watched my daughter enjoy a chocolate frozen treats perhaps greater than anyone else has enjoyed an frozen treats ever before. So the bacon was a much-needed treat.

Lee-Anne warned now could be tough. She increased the exercise and explained to eat only things on the base food list (mostly protein and veges). The exercise began having a great session Liji Shou with boxing fitness guru Gus Lam but I've got to perform a ride a bike right now to complete my requirements. I think I did well using the food, bacon binge notwithstanding. The guilt I feel about that indicates just how much better I'm feeling, and how determined I am to keep up.

Slimming down requires a little the aid of friends: study

Generally people know that weight loss requires some measure of private accountability. You need to weigh yourself, measure yourself and prevent yourself from eating that second Tim Tam.

But it works out that being accountable Slim Forte Double Power to someone else is not only important; it's essential to losing weight.

Researchers at the University of Illinois in the usa have discovered that receiving social support might be vital in motivating women to shed weight and it off. For some women, it had been the critical element in their success.

The research checked out not just the opportunity to achieve diet goals, however the participants' abilities to help keep the load off. The women who maintained how much they weigh loss had a high levels of social support.

Catherine Metzgar, an investigation assistant in food science and human nutrition and one of the paper's authors, told Health Canal, "Our women didn't find that accountability privately was so important, but having support from others was - just having that social support from somebody that was going through the same experience.

"What this research shows is when you can find that one friend that has the same goals or can just hold you accountable, it is really helpful."

Ladies who succeeded at staying lean did the following things: they exercised regularly; they "listened for an inner voice" that reminded these to control their portion sizes; and they also took a "fresh-slate mentality" where they would go back to eating well following a "slip up" or "bad day" rather than letting one lapse trigger a volitile manner, based on Health Canal.

The study also checked out the strength of life Slimming Factor transitions in women's weight fluctuations. Events like graduation, starting an inactive job, marriage, pregnancy and childbirth, were all pitfalls for a lot of from the women, triggering "continual bouts of weight gain, weight reduction, maintenance and protection against weight regain," the study says.

Gus Worland his own Biggest Loser with mate Hugh Jackman

Gus Worland, Sydney radio host and star of Foxtel cricket series, An Aussie Goes Barmy/Goes Bolly/Goes Calypso, has again Zhen De Shou enlisted the help of his BFF, Hugh Jackman, to document sporting endeavours - this time their own. Tired of playing the boozing, smoking, junk-food scoffing patsy to his Triple M "Grill Team" co-hosts, former rugby players Matty Johns and Mark Geyer, and pressured by his concerned family, Worland decided to make a one-man Biggest Loser, with the aim to become fit enough to run the New York City Marathon with Jackman.
Hugh Jackman is not producing this series, because he did your first three. How much control does he have within the final edit?
Jacko will the voiceover and sees each episode before it's delivered to Foxtel to get signed off. It was vital to him to become involved and important for him to basically say, "This is the show. I wish to be that strong person giving you advice if you need it". And he's there in episode six because New York is his hometown. He thought the marathon would be an ultimate challenge. He's doing a new Broadway show, therefore it just made sense.
Were the challenges you undertake within the series (such as a colonic irrigation along with a full body wax), for entertainment value alone?

It's much more about, how can I get physically challenged without needing to go to a gym or perform the running aspect? It started out as a bit of a health show with a few really important messages, but because it's gone on it's become more of the comedy show with this filtering through as opposed to the alternative way around. I'm kind of happy with that because that's more my style.
Do you seem like Karl Pilkington (A fool Abroad), being sent of the comfort zone by your sadistic co-hosts during the studio?
I don't take myself too seriously. I do not mind to be the brunt of products, so long as it doesn't get carried away. As long as the overall feeling is of affection and affection - people laughing with you rather than to you. It has been a big part of what I did around the radio show and it's what I'm used to. There are times when it saddens us a bit and I'll go, "Oh, why shall we be held always the main one?". But then I'm so happy with what I'm doing and nothing's ever perfect, so if I have to cop a little bit, I'm happy to do that, as long as it's the best of intentions.
Are you worried that you will lose your comedy schtick along with the weight?
It was an issue I'd because I'm the big fellow. The joke's on me and I didn't want that not to be accessible for the show because our show's got the best bargain. It's a very blokey show and every bloke within the group has the mickey taken out of him, and that i was that individual. And so i didn't wish to lose that, but my coach said, "You could possibly be the big fella at 100 kilos. It's not necessary to be the big fella at 140 kilos. Don't believe as it were you are going to change what you are. The one thing you are going to change may be the chance to be at your daughter's wedding, or perhaps be a good grandad." It's a good deal of absolute rubbish when you lose weight, you'll lose the type of character that you're. You're what you are and that is that.
How have your listeners taken care of immediately Jimpness Beauty the show?
I can't believe the support that I've had. My Twitter followers go from 6000 to 15,000 and so lots of people saying to me, "Mate, you've inspired me, I'm off running now and my missus is really pleased". It's a really fun method of sending an awesome message.

Get a handle on stress... before it takes a hold on your health and happiness

Stress, in many ways, is our friend. It's a part of our programming, that automatic flight or fight response that can help us dash for canopy whenever we spot danger, or knuckle right down to get jobs done. It's all because of that rush of hormones - including adrenaline and cortisol - the body produce once the brain registers it's the perfect time for action.

But there's also instances when stress is Magic Slim Diet Pills bad. As screeching, jaw clenched, that somebody is really "stressing us out", for instance, or yelling at everybody to obtain the heck from the kitchen as we're juggling what feels like five billion trays in the oven and, any minute now - let alone the gravy - we will boil over.

That's stress when it is as being a small pain in the proverbial, but that is still very normal, and actually, quite helpful for getting stuff done. Once that irksome person's backed off, or even the grub's on the table, your arteries are no longer bulging.

So when is stress a health concern? We've all seen the headlines; it's the modern epidemic, costing UK industries billions. Some 91 million working days are lost annually to mental ill-health, and half of they are related to stress and anxiety. Case among the sobering statistics that is being highlighted this Wednesday for National Stress Awareness Day.

And work isn't the only factor; events and circumstances in somebody's personal life, along with other health problems, for example, can also contribute.

While some things - like house moves, redundancy and exams - are recognised as being 'stressful', there's no way of measuring just how much stress they'll cause and how this may affect one individual from the next.

Stress is really a problem if this turns into a constant. When those adrenaline and cortisol surges are happening frequently, and calm is not being adequately restored between 'triggers', that you eventually become inside a constant fight-or-flight state.

As a result, it can appear to be your "stressed out" threshold gets lower and lower, and little demands become increasingly challenging.

It may manifest physically too, suppressing the immune system and wreaking havoc together with your sleep and digestive tract. Studies suggest it can even affect memory function, and make us more sensitive to physical pain.

"Stress affects everyone differently, and what's stressful for just one person may not be for an additional," says Emma Mamo, head of workplace wellbeing at mental health charity Mind. "However, there are some common symptoms to look out for."

Mood and character changes

When experiencing stress, it's usual to feel you've lost your patience, and discover yourself being irritable and snappy. "Long-term stress can increase irritability, aggression and anxiety," says Mamo. "It can result in depression, poor concentration, and someone experiencing stress at work, for example, may struggle with seemingly simple tasks, including motivation, punctuality and decision-making. They may behave differently - for example, a colleague who's normally outgoing and chatty might become quiet and withdrawn."

Feeling overwhelmed

Perhaps the clearest point that you have reached your stress levels tipping point is that desperate anxiety where you simply can't handle anymore in your plate. You are feeling at bursting point, and then any additional demands sent your way - no matter how small they seem to other people - are likely to tip you over the edge or cause you to explode. Things you'd normally be able to handle now cause you to teary and afraid that you can't cope.

Excessive worrying

We're developed to worry - it keeps us safe Pure Fat Three Days and functioning. However when you're struggling with stress, it's not unusual to find you're suddenly worrying a little more about everything, and perhaps even having more mental poison than usual about stuff that may happen to you in the future - which can be an indicator of anxiety too.

3 strategies to manage weight

This fall researchers from Tulane compared two diets, a low fat diet (30 percent fat) and a reduced carb diet (under 40 grams of net carbohydrates). Neither

diet included calorie Zhen De Shou restrictions. Both diets promoted a few pounds loss, but more weight was lost within the group who kept their net carbohydrates to 40

grams or fewer. These were monitored by doctors, and instructed by dietitians regarding how to do this utilizing a simple formula where net carbohydrates

equal total carbohydrates (grams) minus fiber (grams).

For example, if your ? cup serving of dried cranberries has 33 grams of carbohydrates and three grams of fiber, the "net carbohydrates" are 30 grams. If a 1

cup serving of Butternut Squash Soup has 16 grams of carbohydrates and three grams of fiber, the "net carbohydrates" are 13 grams. A good consumer would soon

realize they might consume a whole lot more soup to keep their "net carbohydrates" to less than 40 grams than dried cranberries or pretzel M&Ms, which have

28 grams of carbohydrates in a ? cup serving and 1 gram of fiber.

The press buzz that followed had experts both criticizing and praising the study. This might have left consumers confused about which advice to follow along

with, since we've heard so many recommendations when it comes to dietary advice to lose weight. We simply want to reach for a few more mini chocolate bars,

chips, or cookies and throw our hands up since the "science" is so confusing.

So, to keep it easier make sure to check with your provider first before attempting weight loss or significant dietary changes, and try these three tips that

fit into most effective weight loss programs.

1. Savor those vegetables

Why just the other day I overheard someone dining out raving concerning the amazing flavors of the root vegetables prepare within theirBelieve it or not, you

will find people who love vegetables and eating lots of veggies enables them to conserve a healthy weight and reduce their risk of chronic disease.

Vegetables by the way are both low in "net carbohydrates" and occasional in fat, so it's a win-win when it comes to official diets.

2. Fruit and veggies don't have to break the bank

The majority are less per ounce than many refined and packaged products available on the market. For example, if apples are .89 per pound, and a 12 ounce bag

of potato ships is $1.99, the apples are .05 per ounce as the potato chips are .16. The apples are very a bit less expensive than the potato chips and

they'll help you stay full longer. Frozen is okay.

3. Know what you're eating and how much you're eating.

People who dropped a few pounds in the Tulane study did so partially because they read labels and knew how many "net carbs" they consumed. The reduced fat

group also dropped a few pounds, likely due to their portioning of meat, dairy, and other foods which contain fat. Studies consistently show when consumers

pay attention to portion sizes and also Jimpness Beauty have a dietary goal, be it Weight Watcher points, net carbohydrates, or fat grams they typically slim down.

Ultimately effective programs are often lowering calorie intake increasing activity, and meeting your nutritional needs.

It is hard to find a list where Mississippi doesn't rank last: Life expectancy. Per capita income. C

It is hard to find a list where Mississippi doesn't rank last: Life expectancy. Per capita income. Children's literacy. "Mississippi's people do not fare well," wrote Willie Morris, a seventh-generation, native son who was raised in Yazoo City, once a bustling trading center perched around the southern fringe of the cotton-rich Delta. Today, up to 50 % of Yazoo City's residents reside in poverty; its people, such as the Delta's vast swamps, have been drained away.

While neighboring Southern states Slim Xtreme Gold ushered their agricultural economies into the modern world --building vibrant, commercial engines like Birmingham, Atlanta and Charlotte with opportunities for blacks to move into the middle-class --Mississippi remains a rural landscape. Indications of the impoverished post-Civil War South abound: irrepressible kudzu vines pressing in to the glass door of the abandoned building; tipsy wooden shacks that look at first glance neglected and forlorn are instead occupied with life. "The Depression, actually, wasn't an obvious phenomenon in the poorest state in the Union," wrote Eudora Welty, when she photographed Mississippi in the 1930s. It remains the poorest state today: 22 percent live in poverty.

None of which bodes well for the coverage of health of the state's 3 million people. Small businesses that dominate the economy typically don't offer medical health insurance, and despite its residents being down-at-the-heels, Mississippi's public health program for the poor is among the most restrictive in the nation. Able-bodied adults without dependent children can't join Medicaid no matter how little they earn, and only parents who earn less than 22 percent from the federal poverty level--about $384 per month for a group of three--can enroll. As a result, 25 percent of adult Mississippians--cashiers, cooks, housekeepers, truck drivers--goes without coverage. And African-Americans carry much of that burden: one out of three adults is uninsured, compared to one in five whites.

It is not easy to untangle the state's dismal health --rampant obesity, diabetes, cardiovascular disease --from its antebellum past. Generational upward mobility happened elsewhere; here, families have remained poor and undereducated, ready against change wrought by the New South. The practice of going to a doctor for maintenance continues to lag in Mississippi for logical reasons, including no insurance and little money, but also for cultural ones. For blacks, there remain deep wells of distrust dating back to Jim Crow laws that barred them in the front doors of doctors' offices, and to when black women were routinely sterilized with what became referred to as "Mississippi appendectomies." As a result, Mississippians are less likely compared to remaining country to seek primary care for chronic conditions and more prone to turn to hospitals when those ailments become more serious and expensive.

Gruesome ends await.

Mississippi has the highest rate of leg amputations in the usa and the lowest rate of Hemoglobin H1c testing, used to monitor and stop diabetes complications. The amputation rate for African-Americans Slim Xtreme Pills is startling: 4.41 per 1,000 Medicare enrollees versus 0.92 for non-blacks. The state also offers high cancer of the breast death rates, though it has a low breast cancer incidence rates. The cancer often isn't found until it's past too far.

Zumba boom in South LA's concrete desert

"She used to be fat!" a woman said after Patricia Campos' class on the recent weekday morning, nudging her elbow at a fellow student. "No, I used to be fat!" a buddy chimed in. "I was fat, too!" added another. Just minutes prior, the trio of 30-somethings were among 20 women clad in black leggings and neon hued tops twisting side to side like a Dominican cumbia song blasted in the stereo. "Get movin'!" commanded Campos in Spanish, pointing to one women's waist with a mock serious expression of indignation.

Campos herself bounced with energy, demonstrating each routine without resting between numbers. She paused Meizi Evolution Botanical Slimming simply to snag a paper towel with her foot and wipe it across the floor to soak up flying beads of sweat. Nearly 40 Zumba studios have cropped up in the 50-square-mile region of South L.A. in the last couple of years, offering homegrown exercise facilities in an area which had long lacked affordable options. In an section of La where the population faces a surfeit of obesity, the classes might be one way Angelenos in South L.A. can work toward shrinking their waistlines. Environmental surroundings itself continues to be one of the greatest obstacles to healthy living. There are few parks for calisthenics. Crime poses a menace to morning hours or late afternoon runs. And traditional gyms are virtually nonexistent. All these factors allow it to be particularly challenging for residents to stay in shape, according to Gabriela Gonzalez, a project manager for health programs at Esperanza Community Housing Corporation. "There's no green space, so there's nowhere to complete exercise," she said. Zumba has transformed that. By occupying storefronts, houses, swap meets, shopping malls, beauty parlors and parking lots, Zumba is giving people a chance to become active in what Gonzalez calls "the concrete desert."

Aerobics to some Latin beat Zumba got its start in Cali, Colombia within the mid-90s when aerobics instructor Alberto "Beto" Perez left his usual music in your own home one day. In its absence, he grabbed some salsa and merengue CDs from his car and improvised new steps for that Latin beats. The category would be a hit. Perez gone to live in Miami to grow his audience, and started making exercise videos and infomercials underneath the Zumba brand. By 2002, Zumba had sold thousands and thousands of videos, and fitness teachers were asking Perez to certify them to teach. Perez made certification simple: Attend one daylong workshop. Then all that you should begin teaching is a group of speakers. Recent workshop rates range from $225 to $315, and also the optional instructor membership costs $34.95 a month. Those fees are just part of the revenue collected by Zumba, still run by Perez together with two Colombian entrepreneurs who coincidentally share the first name, Alberto. Apparel, videos, music, workshops and conferences all bring about the business's estimated worth of half a billion dollars. Zumba's appeal skyrocketed during the recession as people suddenly laid off from work found a method to make money teaching classes. Zumba has since spread to places as disparate and far-flung as Israel and Japan, morphing right into a fitness craze that boasts 15 million people taking classes in 180 countries

Dancing their way on the scale Perez didn't originally set out to boost the health of entire communities-particularly not low-income ones fighting obesity and related concerns for example hypertension and diabetes. Still, the dance craze has accessed a specific need in South L.A. According to an L.A. County Health Department survey from 2011, nearly 30 % of children in grades 5, 7 and 9 are obese. Of adults, roughly 35 percent are obese. That's nearly twice the obesity rate for children in West L.A. and most 3 times the rate among West L.A. adults. Although no studies have yet documented it, Zumba might actually be helping to chip away at South L.A.'s weight woes. Taking three, hour-long Zumba classes a week greater than satisfies the Cdc and Prevention recommendation of 150 minutes of exercise each week. When Noemi Romero, who found the U.S. from El Salvador Fifteen years ago, began taking Campos' Zumba class six times per week a few years ago, she lost 20 pounds within a month. A parent of three, Romero squeezes in classes round her schedule working as a clinical assistant. "Obviously, we are able to dance when we like the music that comes along with Zumba," Romero said in Spanish, relaxing with an aerobics step with her legs stretched out in front of her after class on a recent morning. Teacher Pamela Ramirez has her own weight reduction Liji Shou story: She lost 70 pounds from Zumba classes 4 years ago following childbirth to her second child. At the time, Ramirez, who's about five feet tall weighed close to 200 pounds. Ramirez said she's heard lots of similar stories. "A large amount of those stories--touch your heart," she said. "I possess a large amount of students telling me they couldn't wear boots, that they were too tight. And one day, they're able to wear boots again-- or leave blood pressure level medicine."
